Problems Solved

Core Loop

Characters gain Momentum through successful moves and favorable outcomes. Momentum can be spent to cancel poor dice results and secure success. After being spent, Momentum is reset to a lower value and must be rebuilt.

Player Decision

Should I spend my Momentum now to secure success, or risk losing it in pursuit of an even greater opportunity?

Narrative Effect

Momentum creates a feeling of rising confidence and forward motion. Characters who succeed gain increasing control over their fate, while setbacks can abruptly halt their progress.
